Philippians 3: 13-14
October 22, 2012
One of my many favorite scriptures in the Bible is Philippians 3:13-14. It says "Brethern, I count not myself to be apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." The one thing that we as Christians cannot do is dwell on our past, it will bury us!! Our thoughts and our minds would eventually be consumed with the things that we cannot change, guilt would overtake us mentally and physically, and we would live a defeated life. Psalms 103:12 says "As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us" Since our omnipotent Father has removed them, why in the world would we want them back?!! They are gone forever. erased from our record, so please brothers and sisters, let us press toward that mark that God has placed before us and live a victorious life for Him!!! By: David Brooks
